The Alumni LENS invites you to take an inside look at Kellogg Company’s nationally recognized diversity and inclusion practices and take part in a conversation on MSU and Southern Michigan’s role in civil rights, then and now.
As part of Michigan State University’s 60/50 celebrations, the Alumni LENS is excited to reinvent the MSU Alumni Association’s successful behind-the-scenes program and bring it to Battle Creek. The Kellogg Company is recognized in DiversityInc’s Top 50 Companies for Diversity and this experience will highlight the evolution of the company’s commitment to inclusive practices. Kellogg currently has seven resource groups with 37 chapters and 11 diversity councils. An MSU alumnus from each of the seven resource groups will be selected to share insight on their roles with Kellogg, strategies for effectively collaborating with other professionals, positive outcomes from working in an inclusive environment, and contributing to and expanding a culture of inclusion.
Continuing the experience, an evening program is planned featuring foods from around the world and presenters from MSU and the local community. The topic of conversation will be Michigan’s and MSU’s roles in the Civil Rights Movement.
